These oat scones are extra moist and delicious, thanks to a special ingredient. They’re a twist on the classic breakfast treat with a Scottish touch.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • Heaping 1/3 cup vanilla (or any flavor) yogurt
  • 1 cup quick oats

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F.
  2. Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. Cut in butter until it’s like small pebbles.
  4. Add yogurt and quick oats, mix well.
  5. Shape dough into a ½” thick circle on parchment paper.
  6. Cut into 8 triangles and spread them out.
  7. Brush tops with yogurt using a pastry brush.
  8. Bake at 375° F for 15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool completely before serving. Enjoy!
