Summer Sipping with White Sangria!

There’s nothing quite like a refreshing drink on a hot day, and white sangria is my go-to for brunches, patio parties, or just beating the summer heat. It’s bursting with sweet, juicy fruit flavors thanks to a delightful soak in white wine, apricot brandy, and peach schnapps.

Now, I know red sangria gets all the love, but trust me, white wine makes for a lighter and crisper drink, perfect for those scorching afternoons. And let’s be honest, summer is all about gatherings and catching up with friends on the porch. This white peach sangria (alongside some fresh mojitos, of course) is my secret weapon for these occasions. It’s light, fruity, and packs a delightful punch!

The beauty of this recipe is that you can prep it ahead of time. Just toss everything together in the fridge and let the flavors meld. The bubbles wait until serving, so your sangria stays perfectly fresh.

Speaking of easy cocktails, this one’s right up my alley – just a handful of ingredients, like my favorite easy strawberry margaritas. When it’s party time, all you need is a splash of bubbly to complete the magic!

Want to adjust the intensity? No problem! Add more club soda for a lighter drink, or for a stronger kick, sneak in some extra apricot brandy (our little secret!). Prosecco lovers, this is your moment to shine! Prefer a touch of sweetness? Top it with ginger ale or your favorite soda.

Feeling adventurous? Feel free to experiment with the fruit! This recipe is a canvas for your creativity. I’ve had great results with apples, plums, apricots, even halved grapes!

Choosing the Perfect White Wine

Confused by the wine aisle? Look for a dry, unoaked, and crisp white wine. Pinot grigio or sauvignon blanc are my usual suspects for this sangria. Remember, you’ll be adding lots of flavor, so a mid-priced bottle is perfect – something you’d enjoy on its own, but won’t break the bank.

Making White Sangria

First things first, prep your fruit! Don’t worry about perfect bite-sized pieces, just focus on keeping them pretty. No need to peel the citrus (a good rinse will do).

Now, pour the apricot brandy, peach schnapps, and chilled white wine into your pitcher. Gently stir in the prepped fruit, then let it chill for about 4 hours.

Time to serve! Add some fruit to each glass, fill it ¾ of the way with the sangria mixture, and top it off with your choice of bubbly – prosecco, club soda, or ginger ale.

Here’s to cool, refreshing summer sips!
