Tasting White Sangria in the Summer!
White sangria is my go-to for brunches, patio gatherings, or simply escaping the summer heat; there’s nothing quite like a cool drink on a hot day. Its delicious bath in peach schnapps, apricot brandy, and white wine has left it brimming with sweet, luscious fruit tastes.
Though I realize red sangria gets all the attention, white wine is a crisper, lighter cocktail that’s ideal for those hot afternoons. Sincerely speaking, summer is all about getting together and hanging out on the porch with pals. For these events, my secret weapon is this white peach sangria—and some fresh mojitos, of course. It has a great punch, is light and fruity!
That you can prepare this dish ahead of time is its charm. Toss everything into the refrigerator and allow the flavors to mingle. Your sangria remains beautifully fresh because the bubbles wait until serving.
Talking about simple drinks, this one is perfect for me; it has just a few components, much like my favorite simple strawberry margaritas. A little bubbly may make all the difference when it’s party season!
Would like change the intensity? Not at all an issue For a milder cocktail, top with additional club soda; for a sharper kick, add an extra shot of apricot brandy (our little trade secret!). Prosecco lovers, this is your chance to really shine! Like a little sweetness? Pour in some ginger ale or other preferred soda.
Having an adventurous mood? Please play around with the fruit! You are the artist with this recipe. I’ve had fantastic results with apples, plums, apricots, and even half grapes!
Deciding on the Ideal White Wine
In the wine aisle and confused? Seek for a fresh, unoaked, dry white wine. My go-to wines for this sangria are sauvignon blanc or pinot grigio usually. A mid-priced bottle works well since you’ll be adding a lot of flavor; it should be something you’d like on its own without going over budget.
Making Sangria White
Set up your fruit first! Make sure they’re attractive; don’t stress about them being precisely bite-sized. Citrus only has to be well rinsed; peeling is not necessary.
Pour into your pitcher now the chilled white wine, peach schnapps, and apricot brandy. Stir in the prepared fruit just slightly, then refrigerate for four hours.
Serve now, please! To each glass, add some fruit, top with your preferred bubbly (prosecco, club soda, or ginger ale) and fill it ¾ full with the sangria mix.
To chilly, revitalizing summertime drinks!
