- 1.5 lbs ground beef (80/20)
- Salt and pepper
- 4 slices American cheese
- Hamburger toppings (tomato, lettuce, onion, etc.)
- 4 brioche buns
- Butter
Instructions
- Make 3 oz balls of ground beef. Flatten them into thin patties (use a spatula and parchment paper!). Season with salt and pepper.
- Toast the buns with butter in a skillet.
- Heat a griddle to 400°F. Smash and cook patties for 2 minutes per side.
- Add cheese to one patty in the last minute. Stack patties to melt cheese.
- Build your burger on the toasted bun with your favorite toppings!
