Spinach Dip Recipe

Salutations to everybody. This is a very easy spinach dip that works well for any occasion. Considering how little ingredients are needed, the flavor is excellent.

Deal is as follows:

It’s creamy perfection, everything about this dip. Stirring in some drained and thawed frozen spinach, we start with a mayo and sour cream combination. For a little crunch, I like to include one can of chopped water chestnuts (but hey, no pressure if you’re not a fan!). The ruse weaponry? Soup mix envelope for dried leeks. That increases taste to no end.

To build it is easy. Toss everything into a bowl and beat until smooth. Next, and maybe most importantly, let it chill in the refrigerator for a few hours, if not overnight. That makes every flavor meld together.

The best part is you can make this dip completely ahead of time. It’s actually lot better if you do as the tastes develop over night. Just refrigerate it for up to two days, unopened.

The dip may be refrigerated for up to three months if you decide to make a big batch. Please note that freezing and thawing may cause certain textural variations.

So there it is! Easy, flavorful, and popular spinach dip.

Hey everyone! I’m whipping up a super easy spinach dip recipe that’s perfect for any party. It only uses a handful of ingredients, but the flavor is incredible.

  • Total Time: 6 hours 15 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tub (16 oz) sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 bag (10 oz) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 can (4 oz) chopped water chestnuts, drained
  • 1 packet (1.8 oz) dry leek soup mix
  • Round sourdough bread loaf

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix sour cream, mayo, spinach, water chestnuts, and soup mix. Chill at least 6 hours.
  2. Cut the top off the sourdough bread and scoop out the insides, leaving a thick shell (save the bread for dipping!).
  3. Fill the bread bowl with the dip and serve with torn bread pieces.
