These burgers are designed to be enjoyed just like a classic beef burger, on a bun with your favorite toppings. No surprise veggies snuck in here, unlike my yummy Turkey Zucchini Burgers or Turkey Broccoli Rabe Burgers (those are delicious too, by the way!).

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat or gluten-free)
  • 1/4 cup dried onion flakes
  • 1 tbsp each: ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Olive oil spray
  • Burger buns (4)
  • Your favorite toppings (cheese, tomato, onion, lettuce, pickles, etc.) – optional

Instructions

  1. Mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, onion flakes, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Form 4 patties, about ½ inch thick.
  3. Stovetop: Heat a skillet over medium-low heat, spray with oil. Cook burgers 4-5 minutes per side or until browned and cooked through (165°F).
  4. Grill: Preheat grill to medium, cook burgers 5 minutes per side or until cooked through (165°F).
  5. Air Fryer: Cook burgers at 400°F for 4-5 minutes per side.
  6. Toast buns if desired.
  7. Serve burgers on buns with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Turkey burgers can stick to the grill. To prevent this:

  • Preheat grill for a hot sear.
  • Oil the grates.
  • Don’t move burgers too soon (5-6 minutes).
  • Use a wide spatula to flip.
