This Turkey Chili is my absolute favorite. It’s hearty, flavorful, and comes together super quickly. Plus, it’s a healthier alternative to classic chili recipes loaded with ground beef.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • ½ cup diced yellow onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained & rinsed
  • 1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained & rinsed
  • 1 (7 oz) can diced green chiles (optional for spice)
  • 1-2 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp each: black pepper, salt, garlic powder
  • 1 tsp brown sugar

Instructions

Slow Cooker:

  • Brown ground turkey and onion in a skillet. Add garlic, cook 30 seconds.
  • Transfer to slow cooker with remaining ingredients. Stir well.
  • Cook on LOW 4-6 hours.

Stovetop:

  • Brown ground turkey and onion in a large pot.
  • Drain any grease. Add garlic, cook 30 seconds.
  • Add remaining ingredients, bring to a simmer, and cook 10-15 minutes.

Serve:

  • Enjoy hot with your favorite toppings like sour cream, shredded cheese, and sliced green onions.
