- 1 lb ground turkey
- ½ cup diced yellow onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained & rinsed
- 1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained & rinsed
- 1 (7 oz) can diced green chiles (optional for spice)
- 1-2 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp each: black pepper, salt, garlic powder
- 1 tsp brown sugar
Instructions
Slow Cooker:
- Brown ground turkey and onion in a skillet. Add garlic, cook 30 seconds.
- Transfer to slow cooker with remaining ingredients. Stir well.
- Cook on LOW 4-6 hours.
Stovetop:
- Brown ground turkey and onion in a large pot.
- Drain any grease. Add garlic, cook 30 seconds.
- Add remaining ingredients, bring to a simmer, and cook 10-15 minutes.
Serve:
- Enjoy hot with your favorite toppings like sour cream, shredded cheese, and sliced green onions.
